TEACHER BIO

  • Over 20 years performing, recording, and teaching experience. (I have purposely kept this page more focused on things relevant to teaching than making it a list of bands, clubs, recordings etc that I have been involved with.)
  • Attended the Bass Collective in NYC
  • Over 7 years private study with former Berklee faculty members
  • Master Classes with John Patitucci, Victor Wooten

  • Contributing writer for Bass Player and Bass Frontiers magazines (some of my published articles are here on the site)
  • Product Rep at Bass Day 1999 and 2000 for Lakland Basses and Ashdown Amps
  • Bassist for Randall Amplifier Clinics
  • Former Bass Instructor at Cranford Guitar & Music, Mobile Music, Stoneback Bros Music, and NJ Academy of Music

  • Author of the Modern Bass Program, Scales and Modes Volume 1, and I am currently working on my new book "Tips for the Practicing Bassist" (see my Articles/Books page for more info)
  • In addition to being a bassist, which is my main instrument, I have also studied drums and guitar, and play both. My studio is equipped with a Roland V-Drum kit and various guitars, and I do use both of these additional instruments to accompany my students when needed.
